The ACC at the service of the Cultural centers of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation

The Association des Centres culturels de la Communauté française de Belgique (ACC), literally association of Cultural Centres of the Belgian French Community, is a federation that represents and defends the Cultural centers subsidized by the Wallonia-Brussels Federation (WBF). It informs, advises and trains its members on sectoral, legal and social matters. As an employers’ association, it sits on various joint bodies. 119 Cultural centers and 6 operators from the sector (network and cooperation) are members of the ACC.

The main missions of the ACC are :

Promoting and defending the
Cultural centers

As a platform for exchange and information, the ACC is the interface between the Cultural centers spread throughout the WBF and the public authorities, political representatives, the associative and cultural sectors, social partners… It develops tools to promote Cultural centers (videos, guides etc.) More particularly, the ACC ensures a work of reflection and expertise on all questions related to the decree of Cultural centers, cultural rights, and any legislation impacting its members. It is active at the international level through its mandates within the European network of cultural centers (ENCC) and the International Organization of Francophonie (OIF).

Representation of
employers

As an association representing the employers of Cultural centers, the ACC is a founding member of the CESSoC (Confederation of Employers in the Sport and Sociocultural Sectors). Within this framework, representatives of the ACC sit on various joint bodies (CP 329.02, Fonds 4S, Fonds Maribel etc.).
